For the first time in 30 years...Reunion of the legends! Here's what we can expect

Kollywood is surfaced with a buzz about the probable reunion of the legends for the first time in thirty years. The official announcement regarding the reunion is expected to be unveiled soon and the buzz, which has become the talk of the town, is going viral on social media. 

According to our sources, the legends Superstar Rajinikanth and ace director Mani Ratnam will join hands for the new project. It will be their first reunion in over thirty years after their 1991 blockbuster movie 'Thalapathy'. The talks are on the table and the confirmation will be made during the start of next year. 

The sources say that the new project will be bankrolled by Lyca Productions. Mani Ratnam will start the new project after the release of the second part of his magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan. The first part of Ponniyin Selvan is relishing a successful a theatrical run across and beyond the borders and it is into third week of its release. 

The first part of Kollywood's dream project Ponniyin Selvan hit the screens on September 30 worldwide and movie's cast include popular actors and technicians. Ponniyin Selvan was produced by Subaskaran's Lyca Productions and Mani Ratnam's Madras Talkies and the humongous project was made with the budget of Rs 500 crores. 

So far, the movie has grossed over 400 crores and recorded a big blockbuster hit. The second part of Ponniyin Selvan will get released during summer 2023. On the other hand, Rajinikanth is currently in the outing with director Nelson Dilipkumar for the movie 'Jailer', produced by Kalanithi Maran under his banner of Sun Pictures.
