Flights from UK to India banned until  Jan 7 2021.

Already the Civil Aviation Ministry had discontinued all flights between the UK and India from December 23 to December 31 which is at present, Government extended this temporary ban till January 7.  

Seeing the latest record of India's 20 cases with a new mutant of coronavirus, initially reported in the UK in September. It will be worth mentioning that,  from November 25 and December 23, roughly 33,000 passengers had landed all over the Indian airports, from the UK. Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan told reporters that the samples from UK returnees who tested positive would get into genome sequencing. 
 
Health Ministry reported that "All these persons have been kept in single-room isolation in designated health care facilities by respective state governments. Their close contacts have also been put under quarantine. Comprehensive contact tracing has been initiated for co-travelers, family contacts, and others. Genome sequencing on other specimens is going on''.
