Renowned Indian filmmaker and actor Gautham Vasudev Menon turns 50 today on 25th February, and Fans are sending him birthday greetings. Menon's distinct approach to storytelling and eye for striking visuals have made him a household name in South.  Since firming himself in industry through his directorial efforts, he is now drawing in audiences with his acting ventures at recent times.

Menon started his career in the film industry as a director and made his debut with the 2001 Tamil film Minnale. The film was a commercial success and earned critical acclaim for its fresh approach to storytelling in romance genre. Menon continued to amaze the movielovers which were at were both commercially successful and critically acclaimed, including Varanam Aayiram, Pachaikili Muthucharam, and Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya. When fans cherished his soft and gentle dramas, the director also proved his excellence with his sincere cop ventures such as Kakha Kakha, Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu, and, Yennai Arindhal, and those have separate fan bases.

Menon has also dabbled in acting in recent years, and his forays have been well received. From the crucial lead in Sita Ramam to the villain in the new release Michael, he has done it all. Menon has amassed a devoted fan base owing to his skill as an actor with his recent works. He lastly directed Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu which starred Silambarasan TR in never seen avatar and it garnered good critic reviews.

On his 50th birthday, the makers of Pathu Thala also added their heartfelt birthday wish by sharing a fresh poster featuring the actor director's role from the film. They took to Twitter and wrote, 'Wishing Our Beloved Filmmaker & Actor Gautham Vasudev Menon sir, a Very Happy Birthday From Entire team of #PathuThala Can't wait to see you in #AGR's world" The renowned director sports in white ensemble throwing villainoeus vibes.

Produced by K. E. Gnanavelraja's Studio Green banner in association with Jayantilal Gada's Pen Studios, the upcoming film starring Silambarasan TR in the lead role as AGR, an underworld gangster, will also see GVM as the antagonist. The film will hit theatres on March 30th 2023.

Menon is widely regarded as one of the best directors working in India mainly owing to his unwavering dedication to storytelling and his craft. Fans are looking forward to seeing Menon's signature style once again in Lokesh Kanagaraj's Leo, starring Vijay, Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, and Mysskin. The film is scheduled to debut in theatres on October 19, 2023, as per the makers' announcement, as the film is now busy with pre-production works.
