After Ponniyin Selvan 1, actor Vikram's work on Pa. Ranjith's Thangalaan is the most esteemed project he is working on. The announcement with the teaser, which was released on Diwali 2022, piqued fans' interest. In honor of the director's birthday today December 08, the makers released a brand new poster on social media, and it's going viral with the film's admirers. Natchathiram Nagargirathu, Pa. Ranjith's previous film, did quite well at the box office and was met with favorable reviews.

Taking to Twitter on Thursday, the production house Studio Green shared the poster and wrote, "Wishing the versatile creator of thought-provoking films, #PaRanjith sir, a very happy birthday From team #Thangalaan". Several celebrities and movie stars are sending their best wishes to the director. Thangalaan stars Vikram, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Malavika Mohanan, and Pasupathy, and others. Thangalaan was penned by Ranjith along with Tamil Prabha.

The film's score is being composed by GV Prakash, and Kishor Kumar and Selva RK are responsible for the cinematography and editing, respectively, with SS Murthi as the art director. The story is based on the real-life experiences of those who worked in the mines and factories of the Kolar Gold Factory during the time before India gained its independence.

KE Gnanavel Raja's  Studio Green is the banner under which the film is released, along with the Neelam banner, Ranjith's production house. The story was reportedly told to Vikram by filmmaker Ranjith in 2014, but production on the film reportedly didn't begin until July 15 of this year, according to reports from the media.
