'Happy to have won you in TN Polls, keep entertaining us': BJP MLA Vanathi's tortuous tweet to Kamal Haasan!

Tamil Nadu BJP MLA and national president of BJP's Mahila Morcha, Vanathi Srinivasan has posted a tortuous tweet to Ulaga Nayagan Kamal Haasan in which she indirectly asked the legendary actor to refrain from pursuing politics and just keep entertaining the people. She made her comments after watching the movie 'Vikram' on Monday.

Posting her photo sitting inside the theatre, Vanathi Srinivasan has also expressed that she is happy that she has defeated Kamal Haasan in the 2021 Tamil Nadu assembly polls. Taking to Twitter, she wrote, "Feeling happy to have won you (Kamal Haasan) in Assembly Elections. Watched Vikram. Keep entertaining us Mr Kamal Haasan."

It is pertinent to note that Kamal Haasan has contested in the 2021 assembly polls through his party 'Makkal Needhi Maiam' and he competed against BJP's Vanathi Srinivasan in the Coimbatore South constituency.  Both of them had a big clash and the final results were nail-biting as the race was tough. After twists and turns, Vanathi Srinivasan has eventually won the race by defeating Kamal Haasan.

Vanathi has defeated Kamal Haasan by a margin of 1,728 and it was the debut election for both of them. More than a year after the victory, Vanathi Srinivasan has reiterated that she is happy about defeating Kamal Haasan. Her tweet of indirectly asking the actor to stay away from politics has been going viral. Kamal Haasan is yet to respond back to his rival.

The movie 'Vikram' got released on June 3 and it marked a blockbuster comeback for Kamal Haasan. The movie has been successful across and beyond the borders and has been recording a historical grossing at the box office. While Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International produced the movie, it is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Kamal Haasan played the lead role and Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil, and Naren played important roles while Anirudh composed the music. Vikram was made at a budget of Rs 80 crore and remarkably, it has bagged over Rs 500 crore at the box office.
