Prabhu was admitted to a private hospital in Kodambakkam, Chennai, on Monday evening after complaining of severe stomach pain and being proceeded to Medway hospital. The initial medical examination revealed that the actor had a kidney stone. Regarding his health, the hospital administration has released a statement today on Wednesday The hospital performed urethroscopy laser surgery on the actor on Tuesday morning.

According to the hospital's health bulletin, Prabhu will be discharged after a series of routine tests. According to a statement issued by the hospital, actor Prabhu was admitted to Medway Hospital in Kodambakkam, Chennai on February 20 due to a kidney condition. "He was diagnosed with kidney stones yesterday morning and underwent urethroscopy laser surgery today morning (21 February) to remove the stones,"

"Now, he is in perfect health. In a couple of days, he will return home after undergoing general medical tests "it said. On social media, fans have since wished Prabhu a speedy recovery. In the 1980s, Prabhu became a prominent actor, and he is the son of actor Thilakam Sivaji Ganesan.
