"He still calls me brother " This veteran director confirms on working with Vijay in Thalapathy67 after twenty years!

Chithiram Pesuthadi, starring Narain and Bhavana, was Mysskin's first film as a director. However, in a retrospective interview, the director admitted that he had based his first film's protagonist on Thalapathy Vijay's character from Youth. And the fact that Mysskin recently confirmed his role in Lokesh Kanagaraj's Thalapathy 67  with Vijay, the acclaimed director raving about working with the actor after twenty years.

Speaking about working with Vijay, Mysskin said at an event, "I had earlier worked with Vijay in 'Youth'. After twenty years, I am seeing and working with Vijay. He hasn't changed one bit. In fact, he has become more young and handsome. He still calls me brother like the way he used call then. I am really happy to work with him." The actor cum director worked as an assistant director in Youth which was released twenty years ago in 2002.

"I’m very happy to work with him. Good fight, he smashed my face and left me bleeding. He also smashed my mouth. Its very interesting and i fought with this physique of mine" he furtherly added. "Lokesh Kanagaraj is a perfectionist and the movie has beeb shaping up well. He gives me the time and space to perform," he said.

He also appreciated the style of Lokesh Kanagaraj's direction, where he said, "We have been shooting some intense fight sequences and I have done fights with this body of mine. Lokesh Kanagaraj is making film very precisely. He just shoots between an "A" and "B". He is not teaching acting and all like other directors. He explains what he wants and expects me to express instead of teaching me acting. The cast is so good, Manoj Paramahamsa is taking care of the camera department."

Reputable sources state that the film features Trisha Krishnan, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, and Arjun Das in pivotal roles. In all likelihood, the film's score will be written by Anirudh Ravichander who also scored the director's previous directorial Vikram and Master. The film is expected to hit theatres by October 2023, and an official announcement from the makers' side will be made soon, as the director recently confirmed that the proper updates will be out after Vijay's Varisu release.
