The heat of NEET boil the freshers in Tamil Nadu!

The row of NEET impersonations had flagged new episodes of judicial directives towards bringing all the freshers across the state of Tamil Nadu under the lens of re-verification with accord to the unprecedented rise of NEET scam.

The reports say that the Madras High court bench comprised of Justices Kirubakaran and Velmurugan had issued orders to National Testing Agency which conducts NEET exam to share the thumb impressions of about 4,250 first year students admitted to various medical studies in state's medical colleges to Tamil Nadu's crime branch department which probe the investigations on alleged impersonations. Adding to that, the state's top judicial body had directed the state government to re-verify the profiles and applications of all MBBS students in the state who were admitted in the academic year of 2019-2020 to uncover the possible rackets.

While issuing the directives, the high court bench had observed that the officers who verified the students and their belongings including dresses had hair had certainly failed to check their faces before letting them in the exam centers to write NEET exam following which the bench had suggested to cite the possibilities of using face recognizing mechanisms for the students before embarking for exams. By citing the case that has been webbed for the other states, the court had included CBI as a respondent for the matter which had anticipated the prospects for CBI to take up the case for extensive investigations. The High court had urged the state and central government to table the reports and the steps taken to ensure that there are no clouds of malpractice in NEET exams.

In the middle of the hearing, the CB-CID counsel had submitted its reports which indicated that the special police team had detained six persons, including four students with having suspicious involvement and further claimed that they had identified about 19 others who have been suspected in the series of impersonations as they have been verifying the credentials and profiles of the suspects. By adjourning the hearing for October 24th, the court had instructed the medias not to reveal the names and identities of the students who are under probe.

The case of first impersonation had come to the spotlight by revealing the drama and the loopholes, where the Dean of Theni Medical college had filed a legal complaint against the first year student Udit Surya after the suspicious conspiracy of citing difference of the photograph in the application and his real appearance, after which the police department had booked the student under the charges of alleged conspiracy following which the scam had exhumed shocking scenes since then.
