The leader stated that the PMK candidate won in ward 18 but the ADMK candidate was declared as a winner and PMK's candidate Marimaran has directly accused the party men of the ADMK party and claimed that he would approach the Madras High court to seek its directive for recounting of votes. The PMK party has alleged that the ADMK party had failed to support its candidates in Cuddalore and Thiruvannamalai.
