Historical visit that adds pride to the heritage!

The city of Chennai get readies to flag its grand welcome for the historical visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping who would be touching down the grounds of Chennai International airport around 1.30 pm today for participating in the second informal summit between India and China that will be hosted by Prime minister Narendra Modi in Tamil Nadu's coastal town of Mamallapuram.

The people and the police departments of all disciplines have been preparing with enhanced security corridors to host both the leaders and the state government had grounded the tightening parameters and mechanisms of surveillance during the course of the visit that will last for about a day where the two leaders are expected to table entire spectrum of the relations and bilateral ties most importantly prevailing trade and border disputes. The coastal town of Mamallapuram will be adding privilege to its heritage on anchoring the Chinese leader for the first time in its history and to showcase the town as the fittest venue, the state government has been renovating the town by upgrading the roads, installing security measures, new saplings and statues of Buddha and by lighting the ancient and historical sites.

While the police department had deployed thousands of police personnel on ground from Chennai till Mamallapuram and its outskirts where Chinese leader will be traveling, Indian Coast Guard had take control of the waters of the coastal town where it had anchored the fleet near the shore temple of Mamallapuram and the authorities had stated that the coastal force had parked the warships at some distance from the coast in order to counter any suspicious threat or security lag from sea during the meet between both the leaders.

To host this historical summit, Prime minister Narendra Modi will disembark his plane in Chennai airport around 11 am and he will be welcomed by the state Governor, the Chief minister and cabinet ministers after which he will be escorted by chopper to Mamallapuram while the Chinese Presidential aircraft will wheel down around 1.30 pm at the airport for which the government had already issued ban for the commercial aircraft not to fly on the Chennai skies during the arrival of Xi Jinping who will be accompanied by his delegation of around 300 people.

Upon his arrival, he will be transported to ITC Grand Chola hotel in Guindy where he will be welcomed by around 6000 people who will occupy either sides of the road during his escort. From Guindy, he will take road to reach Mamallapuram which is about 50 kilometers far from Chennai where nearly 50,000 people will stage their welcome through traditional dance and cultures after which he will be officially welcomed by Indian delegation led by Prime minister Modi following which they will table high level discussions but however, the Indian authorities had said that there would be no official signings and exchanges of agreements.

The Chennai airport has been decorated and staged with the traditional dancers who will flag traditional welcome while the police department has been in eagle eyes towards monitoring the security grid with the view of not accounting for any security lags during the visit. The reports had revealed that around 30,000 CCTV cameras were installed in the routes from Chennai to Mamallapuram that will be taken by the Chinese leader.

The state's school education department had issued statement that more than 5000 students will be joining the grounds on welcoming the leader through flagging Indian and Chinese flags. Most of the schools and IT companies which rest on the scheduled route had announced a day off by citing the heavy traffic jams in available detours. Exactly by tomorrow afternoon, the Chinese President will leave Chennai.
