How is Chief Minister MK Stalin doing now? Check out the latest update from the hospital!

While it was speculated that Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin will be getting discharged on Friday after being under observation for 24 hours, the treating hospital has now announced that MK Stalin is advised to rest for a few more days. Citing that the investigations are completed, the hospital affirmed that MK Stalin is recovering well and is in good health.

Chief Minister MK Stalin has announced on July 12 that he has tested positive for the Covid-19 pandemic and two days later, on Thursday - July 14, he was admitted to Kauvery Hospital in Chennai. In its first official statement, the hospital has said, "Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru MK Stalin has been admitted at Kauvery Hospital, Alwarpet, Chennai for investigations and observation for Covid related symptoms."

It was said that MK Stalin would be under observation for 24 hours after which he will be discharged from the hospital. However, the latest statement notified that he will be in hospitalization for a few more days. On Friday, the hospital issued the second statement concerning MK Stalin's health condition in which it said, "Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru MK Stalin was admitted yesterday for necessary investigations regarding Covid infection." 

"The investigations have been completed and medications have been provided as per Covid treatment protocol. The Chief Minister is recovering well and is in good health. He has been advised to rest for a few more days", the hospital added. On Tuesday -July 12, MK Stalin said that he has tested positive for the Covid-19 pandemic and several leaders, including Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi and ADMK's O Panneerselvam, have extended their wishes to the Chief Minister for a speedy recovery. 

After confirming to have contracted the pandemic, MK Stalin took to Twitter and wrote, "I have fatigue today (Tuesday). After testing, it was confirmed that I have contracted Covid-19 and I have isolated. Let all of us be safe by wearing masks and taking the vaccine doses." On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has spoken to MK Stalin over the phone and inquired about his health condition a day after he was hospitalized for Covid treatment. Modi has wished the Chief Minister a speedy recovery.
