After much anticipation, actor Sivakarthikeyan's "Prince" opened in theatres on Friday, October 21. Early reviews of the film have begun to flood social media as fans swarm the theatres to adore their favourite actor. Sivakarthikeyan and director Anudeep KV have collaborated for the first time as the actor's first debut in Tollywood town.

The film's brilliant soundtracks were composed by Thaman and they were getting a huge reception in the theatres, for his refreshing background score. As a Diwali clash, 'Prince' has locked horns with Karthi's 'Sardar', helmed by PS Mithran. With what each cinephile writes after absolutely loving the film, Prince has been earning positive and as well as neutral kind of words from viewers.

Actor Sibi Sathyaraj on Friday morning poured success wishes for the team and his father and actor Sathyaraj as the latter plays the role of the father to Sivakarthikeyan in the film. He penned, "Wishing @Siva_Kartikeyan brother, Appa and the entire team of #Prince all the best for massive success!". Actor Arya wrote, "Wishing @Siva_Kartikeyan brother Director @anudeepfilm and #Prince team a great success @MusicThaman #PrinceFromToday".

Yuvan Shankar Raja, director Venkat Prabhu, and Karthik Subbaraj were among the celebrities who extended their wishes for both Prince and Sardar. After watching Prince, one film critic wrote by referring to director Anudeep's previous movie, saying "If you loved the court scene in Jathi Ratnalu, you are in for a ride in the climax of #Prince. Anudeep's humor is on full display here and Sivakarthikeyan brings the roof down."

"#Prince is a decidedly silly comedy, like Jathi Ratnalu, that works like a charm when it is in a madcap zone. A plain romantic angle and efforts to lend depth occasionally puncture the fun. The final act is a pure blast and it uplifts the entire experience. Enjoyable!" he adds. Another journo wrote, "#Prince Interval - so far love & love only. #Sivakarthikeyan looks more beautiful than #mariya. Love story between Tamil boy vs British Girl".

Another film buff wrote, "#Prince comedy is just out of the park, especially 2nd half...I've never enjoyed a film like this in a while... I actually went into a theatre as Anudeep fan and came out as a #SivaKartikeyan fan ...Enjoyed every single bit". The cinematography is done by Manoj Paramahamsa, Praveen KL served as the editor and Thaman composed the music. Starring Sivakarthikeyan and Maria Ryaboshapka in the lead, Sathyaraj, Anandraj, Soori and Premji Amaren play supporting roles.
