How is Thalapathy 66 going and will it speak politics? Major revelation from the director!

Thalapathy Vijay is currently busy with 'Beast' which is helmed by Nelson Dilipkumar, who has now become one of the young successful directors of Kollywood with his latest blockbuster hit of 'Doctor'. Beast has become the first outing for Vijay with Nelson and the movie has been progressing at a steady pace and it has been predicted that the movie will hit the big screen during Pongal 2022, clashing with Ajith's 'Valimai'.

After Beast, Vijay will be joining hands with Tollywood director Vamsi Paidipally for the first time for what has been tentatively named Thalapathy 66. The movie will be bankrolled by popular Telugu producer Dil Raju and as the Thalapathy 66 is in the process of finalizing the crews, director Paidipally had put out major revelations about the movie and its storyline.

As the director is going to direct Vijay for the first time, there has been plenty of expectations over how would be the output of the fusion of Thalapathy and the Tollywood league. In a recent interview, Paidipally had shared the moments of meeting Vijay and revealed some ingredients of Thalapathy 66, which had relished Vijay fans. He also touched upon the prospects of whether Vijay will make changes to the story. He said he was excited to meet Vijay after producer Dil Raju had confirmed the appointment with the actor.

The director was perplexed on whether Vijay will like the story. However, Paidipally said that Vijay had made him comfortable and listened to the whole story. Signalling that the actor won't make changes to the story, Paidipally said that Vijay had liked the story and informed the producer to start initial works. By revealing that Thalapathy 66 won't speak politics, the director said that the movie will have an emotional storyline mixed with the commercial elements.

He made a comparison of Thalapathy 66 with one of his super hit movies in Telugu that was dubbed in Tamil as 'Thozha'  starred by Karthi and Tamannah. He said that Thalapathy 66 will be a Tamil movie like 'Thozha', which will also be released in Telugu. Paidipally said, "My core strength is human relationships and emotions so, the film with Vijay sir will also have these two factors. I also penned the script keeping the stardom and the fanbase of Vijay sir in mind."

Commenting on the updates and how the movie is going, he said, "All the updates will be out from December. We have just finalized the script work, so you will hear more from us by the end of this year." Speaking about Vijay, Paidipally said, "He has reached great heights in Tamil cinema but remains humble. For him, the important criteria to begin a film is he should feel comfortable with the filmmaker."

Vijay's current project 'Beast' is being made as an action thriller and it is bankrolled by Kalanithi Maran under the banner of Sun Pictures. While Vijay plays the lead role, Pooja Hegde, Selvaraghavan, Yogi Babu, Shine Tom Chacko, John Vijay, VTV Ganesh, Aparna Das, Sathish Krishnan, and Redin Kingsley play important roles. Anirudh has composed the music and Nirmal and Manoj Paramahamsa had done editing and cinematography respectively.
