"I am so excited": AR Rahman shares happy news...Will he decorate this historical pinnacle?

Oscar-winning music composer AR Rahman is on cloud nine as he is inching closer to decorating a remarkable milestone. The music composer, who has already won millions of hearts across and beyond the borders, is now on his way to possibly adding another feather to his cap. On Tuesday, he shared the happy news that his sound track for 'Mimi' has been submitted to the 64th Grammy Awards. 

He took to Twitter and wrote, "I am so excited to share that my sound track for visual media "MIMI" has been submitted to the 64th GRAMMY Awards, for your consideration. Here is a link." Ever since he shared the news, he has been flooded with wishes and commendations from his fans and several of them had acclaimed that the sound track has deserved this global recognition and they had expressed their compliments to the music composer for creating distinguished milestone. 

AR Rahman has already been decorating the achievement of becoming the first Indian to win two Oscars for his score in the British- Indian movie Slumdog Millionaire. He had also won two Grammy Awards, a BAFTA Award, a Golden Globe Award, and several other global and Indian accolades for his unparalleled and perennial music scores. If he wins the Grammy award for Mimi, he will be scripting a historical pinnacle for getting bestowed with the award for the third time, the feat that no Indian has achieved.

Some of the Tweeple congratulated the team for getting on the global stage and a user has said, "Oh my God! This is an awesome, fabulous, and absolutely deserving album. Eagerly waiting for your 3rd Grammy sir. My family and I will root for you, sir...Many congratulations from Kolkata." Another user wrote, "Congratulations from Hong Kong! We will all root for you. It certainly deserves to win." Another user said, "Congrats! Mimi's soundtrack is a pure cracker! Scintillating, sweet, and very, very soulful. I am so happy to hear this great news. All the very best!" 

Mimi is a Hindi comedy-drama film that was released on 26th July 2021, directly on Netflix. While the movie was bankrolled by Dinesh Vijan and Jio Studios, it is directed by Laxman Utekar. While Kriti Sanon played the lead role, Pankaj Tripathi, Sai Tamhankar, Manoj Pahwa, Supriya Pathak, Jaya Bhattacharya, and Pankaj Jha have played important roles. AR Rahman has composed the music and the sound track has seven songs, composed and sung by Rahman along with several prominent singers and young talents. 

It is pertinent to note that the 64th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony will be held on January 31, 2022. It will be recognizing the best recordings, compositions, and artists of the eligibility year, from September 1, 2020, to September 30, 2021. The nominations will be announced on November 23, 2021, and the global ceremony will be hosted by Staples Center in Los Angeles, the United States.
