'I am on top of the world'...SS Rajamouli is on cloud nine after meeting this legendary Hollywood director!

Popular director SS Rajamouli, who has garnered a global fanfare after the recent milestone of his movie 'RRR', is on cloud nine after meeting legendary Hollywood filmmaker James Cameron. Rajamouli is on a historical tour in the United States along with his RRR team and last week, the movie's 'Naatu Naatu' song has won a Golden Globe Award, following which it became the first Indian flick to get conferred with this prestigious honour.

RRR has earned a global prominence after Naatu Naatu song made it through the Golden Globe Award by defeating Hollywood contenders. The movie has been a talk of the Hollywood and gained a good scale of appreciations from the western artists. On Monday, Rajamouli said that he is on the top of the world after meeting James Cameron, the iconic director who helmed 'Titanic' and the Avatar series. 

Rajamouli said that James Cameron has watched RRR and watched it for the second time with his wife. Taking to Twitter, Rajamouli wrote, "The great James Cameron watched RRR.. He liked it so much that he recommended to his wife Suzy and watched it again with her. Sir I still cannot believe you spent a whole 10 minutes with us analyzing our movie. As you said I AM ON TOP OF THE WORLD... Thank you both." 

The pictures of his meet with James Cameron have been going viral. Earlier on January 14, Rajamouli met yet another iconic Hollywood director Steven Spielberg, who has been instrumental in pushing the boundaries of movie-making globally. After meeting Spielberg, Rajamouli wrote, "I just met GOD!!!." Rajamouli was accompanied by RRR's music director MM Keeravani, who lifted the Golden Globe Award for his composing of Naatu Naatu. 

RRR was nominated for the Golden Globe Awards under two categories-  Best Original Song and Best Non- English language film. After securing the nomination, the movie team including director SS Rajamouli, lead actors Ram Charan and Junior NTR, and music director MM Keeravani went to the, United States to participate in the award ceremony that was held on January 10. 

It was then announced that  RRR's song 'Naatu Naatu' has won the Golden Globe Award for the Best Original Song, while it lost the race to the movie 'Argentina, 1985' in the second category. When actor Jenna Ortega announced that the award goes to Naatu Naatu from RRR, the whole team erupted with cheers  while the song was being played in the background. 

Sharing the iconic moment on Twitter, Rajamouli wrote, "SPEECHLESS. Music truly knows no boundaries. Congratulations & thank you Peddanna for giving me Naatu Naatu. This one is special. I thank each & every fan across the globe for shaking their leg & making it popular ever since the release." On the stage, Keeravani went emotional and dedicated the award to Rajamouli and the actors Ram Charan and Junior NTR. 

Thanking Rajamouli for his vision, Keeravani said, "This award belongs to my brother SS Rajamouli." He also thanked Naatu Naatu choreographer Prem Rakshit and singers Kala Bhairava, Rahul Sipligunj and lyricist Chandra Bose. Back in India, a moment of euphoria was at full swing as the RRR team has been praised by the masses. Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote, "A very special accomplishment! Compliments to MM Keeravani, Prem Rakshith, Kaala Bhairava, Chandrabose, Rahul Sipligunj. I also congratulate SS Rajamouli, Junior NTR, Ram Charan, and the entire team of RRR. This prestigious honour has made every Indian very proud."
