'I couldn't able to control my tears': Superstar Rajinikanth's surprise call to Sivakarthikeyan!

In the midst of a decent commercial opening for the movie 'Don' starred by Sivakarthikeyan, Superstar Rajinikanth has made a surprise call to the actor and expressed his wishes for the movie and for its reception. The movie team has relished the compliment from Rajinikanth and the development has been going viral. 

According to reports, Rajinikanth has told Sivakarthikeyan that the movie has come nice and that he couldn't able to control his tears for the last thirty minutes. Though Don didn't stand up to the scale of expectations, the movie has garnered good reception across and beyond the borders. It has been reported that the movie has grossed Rs 50 crore after the first weekend of its release. 

Don was released on May 13, 2022, and the team has already declared that the movie is a blockbuster hit. On Wednesday, the team had celebrated the success of the movie by throwing a small private party. Lyca Productions, one of the producers of the movie, had shared the pictures of the party and wrote, "Thank you one & all for making Don a blockbuster. The private party gang just got bigger with all your love." 

Don is directed by debutant Cibi Chakaravarthi, who worked as an associate to director Atlee. While Sivakarthikeyan played the lead role, SJ Suryah, Priyanka Mohan, Samuthirakani, Soori, Radha Ravi, Munishkanth, Kaali Venkat, RJ Vijay, Bala Saravanan, Sivaangi, and Manobala had played important roles. Anirudh has composed the music and the movie was made on a budget of Rs 30 crore. 

It has been reported that a week after the theatrical release, the movie has been gearing up for OTT release. As per the latest information, Don will stream digitally on Netflix from June 10th. After the revelation that Superstar Rajinikanth has called the movie team and complimented them, the fans are sharing the news on Twitter as they rejoice in the praise from the Superstar himself.
