'I hope justice will be given to me': Kangana Ranaut after meeting Maharashtra governor!

Bollywood Actor Kangana Ranaut, who has been on the headlines that surfaced around the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, had, on Sunday, met with Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari at Raj Bhavan in Mumbai, days after she had drawn massive flak from the state ruling party after comparing Mumbai police to Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (Pok).

She has been facing outrage from the Shiv Sena party and its supporters over her recent remarks. Last week, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), which is controlled by the state ruling Shiv Sena party, has demolished Ranaut's office in Mumbai by citing that the property, that sits at Pali Hill in suburban Bandra, had illegal alterations. The demolition had happened when the actor had arrived in Mumbai with the 'Y-plus' security cover.

She had immediately moved to the Bombay High Court which stayed the corporation's action of demolishing her office. After arriving in Mumbai, she had visited her half-demolished office and made a scathing attack against the ruling Shiv Sena party and Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. The actor said that the state government was targeting her after clashing with the Shiv Sena party.

On Friday, the actor had demanded Congress president Sonia Gandhi to intervene and stop the harassment of women. She kept her demand to the Congress leader as the party has been a part of the ruling alliance in Maharashtra along with Shiv Sena and the Nationalist Congress Party.

In her tweet, Kangana asked Gandhi whether she was not anguished by the treatment given to her by the Maharashtra government and added that "History will judge your (Sonia Gandhi) silence".

Amid the troubling developments, Kangana Ranaut had met Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari on Sunday and told him about the injustice done to her. While addressing the reporters after meeting the Governor, the actor said, "I met the governor. He heard me as a daughter. I came to meet him as a citizen. I have nothing to do with politics".

She further added, "I told him about the injustice meted out to me and what happened was improper. It was indecent behavior". By taking to Twitter on her meeting with the governor, Kangana said, "A short while ago I met His Excellency the Governor of Maharashtra Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari Ji. I explained my point of view to him and also requested that justice be given to me it will restore faith of common citizen and particularly daughters in the system."
