Kamal Haasan has stated that he will also ask Rajinikanth to support him in the Assembly elections. 

Makkal Needhi Mayyam  party leader and Actor Kamalahaasan who met reporters in Kadiyapatti, Pudukkottai district, said that "I will also ask Rajinikanth to support me in the Assembly elections. I am also one of Rajini’s well-wishers; I will ask for support because I am a friend. When I go to Chennai, I will meet at Rajini and talk. I cannot answer the speculative question of whether Rajini's decision will disappoint the BJP. I have no animosity towards spirituality. 

No one can force me to accept spirituality. I cannot force anyone to accept rationality, it is wrong to divide Dravida into two parties. Dravida does not belong to anyone; It belongs to everyone. Mohenjo-Daro has been inhabited by Dravid since the Harappan period.  

Blindness is not the right attitude concerning the peasant struggle. My election manifesto will be people-centered. It is the will of the volunteers that the alliance should be under my leadership. I will engage in honest politics; It is enough to say in my grave that I was involved in honest politics."
