"I'll take care of them but you take care of me": Simbu breaks down in tears in Maanaadu event! Watch the video

When Simbu took the podium on Thursday at an event of his upcoming movie 'Maanaadu', no one had thought that his speech would end up with a mixture of emotions and heartbreaking moments as the actor, who had come in an adoring attire, has finally ended up breaking down in tears over the issues he had faced. Several fans took to social media and patted the actor by expressing their support.

Maanaadu has been long-awaited by the fans and the movie is now been baked to serve to the fans later this month after bracing up the episodes of setbacks and controversies. There had been a tussle between Simbu and the producer and the movie progressed with the hope of hitting the big screens this Diwali. However, Maanaadu didn't get released on the festival of lights and it was announced that it has been slated to release on November 25.

The movie has been considered to have a strong comeback from Simbu and a week ahead of the release, the movie team has organized a pre-release event, which was held on Thursday - November 18 in Chennai. Speaking at an event that was attended by the whole team of the movie and several celebrities, Simbu had broken down in tears and said that he has been facing a lot of issues and that he needs love and support from his fans.

He said, "I am facing a lot of issues and problems. They are making it really hard for me. I'll take care of them but you (fans) take care of me." He stopped his speech brief and after seeing him getting emotional, the crowd began to cheer him up and praised him. He had thanked the producer and the entire team of the movie for their support. According to reports, Simbu could have indicated the problem of receiving death threats.

A distributor named Arulpathi had allegedly tried to stop the shooting of Simbu's upcoming film and his father T Rajendar had said Maanaadu was being delayed intentionally. Last month, Rajendar and his wife Usha had filed a complaint with the Chennai Police Commissioner against any stay on the release of Maanaadu. Usha has also said that she would sit on a fast in front of the Chief Minister's residence if there was any trouble in the release of Maanaadu, starred by her son.

In their complaint, they had alleged that the movie was aided by the Tamil Nadu Current Distributors' Association. T Rajendar has also said that some people in Tamil Nadu are playing politics in the name of the current distributors' association, which has been formed in a non-democratic manner. Their allegations were shocking, however, Maanaadu had stayed off from the Diwali release and it will be released on November 25.

A video from the event where Simbu had broken down in tears has been going viral with several fans expressing their love and support on social media. The first look posters and trailer of Maanaadu were already released and earned great reception. Maanaadu is a sci-fi thriller and will see Simbu in a never seen before avatar. It will probably be the big movie of Simbu post his physical transformation.

Bankrolled by Suresh Kamatchi under the banner of V House Productions, Maanaadu is directed by Venkat Prabhu. While Simbu plays the lead role, Kalyani Priyadarshan, SJ Suryah, Bharathiraja, SA Chandrasekhar, Karunakaran, Premgi Amaren, and Manoj Bharathiraja would play in lead roles. Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed music whereas Richard M Nathan and KL Praveen have done cinematography and editing respectively.
