India sets a worst record: How a flopped show from Kohli and team helped Aussies to finish big?

By putting the very least test score on board, Kohli's fleet has let the host enjoy a lenient victory in the first test match and to lead the four-match test series as the visitors had shocked the fans by ending up with a flawed milestone. After the ODI and T20 series, India is playing against Australia in the third and final leg of the tour - test series and the first test match has been hosted by Adelaide Oval and the five-day test match could come to an end on Saturday, in its third day as the host has taken the game under their full control.

India won the toss and decided to bat first only to witness a shocking opening as opener Prithvi Shaw has gone for a duck while his pair Mayank Agarwal has departed for 17 runs. With an unwelcoming opening stand, India was pushed to put a big score. Cheteshwar Pujara and skipper Kohli had delivered a decent partnership and when both had departed after scoring 43 and 74 runs respectively, Rahane was dismissed for 42 following which no other Indian batsmen had punished and troubled the host as India ended its first innings by putting 244 runs and lost ten wickets. On the host side, Mitchell Starc has taken four wickets, Pat Cummins picked three while Nathan Lyon and Josh Hazlewood had got one wicket each.

While Australia took to the crease in the first innings, India paid back the host strongly as the Indian bowling line up had attacked the Aussie batsmen not to let them take the lead. With the mixtures of spin and pace, the host couldn't withstand the Indian bowling line-up as apart from Tim Paine, who scored 73, and Marnus Labuschagne, who scored 47, the rest of the Aussie batsmen fallen short. In the end, Australia ended by scoring only 191 runs and it had lost ten wickets. On the Indian side, Ravichandran Ashwin took four wickets, Umesh Yadav took three wickets while Jasprit Bumrah took two. As the host was trailing in the match with 53 runs behind the visitors, they prepared for the second innings.

However, India had faced much bigger retaliation from the Aussies as Kohli's team was dismissed by recording a very least score ever in its test history. The Indian team began its second innings on Saturday with a lead of 53 runs, however, its innings had come to an end on Saturday as India has ended up its innings by scoring only 36 runs and lost nine wickets while Mohammed Shami had gone retired hurt. No Indian batsmen had gone past ten runs with three were dismissed for a duck. Mayank Agarwal was the highest scorer in the 2nd innings as he had scored nine runs while Pujara, Rahane, and Ashwin went for a duck.

By putting a very least score, India has given Australia a target of 90 runs to win the first match. While Josh Hazlewood recording a five-wicket haul by getting five wickets, Pat Cummins had got four wickets. With the easy target, the host began chasing it and finish the day with the victory. At the time of writing this content, Australia has scored 47 runs and the host is forty runs behind the target with ten wickets in hand. Aussies would finish with a victory and it would lead the four-match test series.

By scoring 36 runs, India has recorded a flawed and worst milestone by putting the lowest score on board ever in test cricket. Previously, India's score of 42 runs against England in 1974 was India's lowest test score. The cricketing fans are expressing their shock over social media after witnessing India's faltering performance and debacle, which paved a hassle-free way for the Aussies to win the match and take a lead in the series.
