Indian Wing commander to be honored with Vir Chakra!

India is just hours ahead of celebrating its 73rd Independence day and the government has named the recipients conferred with the nation's highest honorary awards where Indian air force wing commander Abhinandhan Vardhaman has been listed out as the recipient for Vir Chakra medal, the third highest wartime medal followed by Param Vir Chakra and Maha Vir Chakra.

The reports say that Abhinandhan has been conferred for the highest honor after his name has been recommended by Indian air force for his brave and heroic attempt of shooting down Pakistan F-16 military aircraft ahead of the on air feud between Indian air force and its Pakistani counterpart on February 27th, the days after Balakot strikes.

Joining in line of honor with Abhinandhan, is sapper Prakash Jadhav who had sacrificed his life in an encounter with terrorists at Kulgam region in November 2018, where he will be awarded with Kirti Chakra  award along with CRPF commander Harshpal Singh while another 14 commanders will be conferred with Shaurya Chakras.

The reports further stated that the group of pilots of Mirage-2000 fighter jets will be honored with "Vayu Sena" medals for successful conducting retaliatory mission of bombing and blasting out the terrorist outfit of Jeish-e-Mohammed at Balakot region in Pakistan.

Abhinandhan, the 35 year old, wing commander, was one among the fleet of fighter jets which was assigned with targeting Pakistan, where Abhinandhan was piloting MiG-21 bison aircraft when he shot down Pakistan's F-16 and moments after he taken the aircraft, his jet was hit by Pakistan's missile which had led him to take parachute to land where the parachute had taken him to the Pakistan territory and had captured by the Pakistani forces.

Ahead of furious voice from India on demanding his release, Abhinandhan, who was kept under Pakistan's captivity for almost 60 hours, was released and returned to India on March 1st, 2019.

The Indian government move on retaliating Pakistan had came after Pakistani militants conducted suicide bombing in Pulwama region in Kashmir on February 14th which had killed 40 Central Reserve police force men.
