IPL is back to life...The battle welcomes the fans as it all set to begin with roar and whistle!

The resumption of the Indian Premier League is the redemption of what it has lost in the last two seasons - spectators, who gave breath to the battle on the greenfield. The IPL matches without the spectators in the stadium didn't fulfil the soul of the game. While the Covid-19 pandemic had separated the spectators from the live-action, it's time for the reunion.

Yes, the fans can occupy the stadium and relish the upcoming matches. However, the fans in India are unfortunate as the IPL season will be hosted by the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The UAE had hosted the last year's game without the spectators and this year's IPL had held in India till May 2021 and the season was suspended after several players and staff members had tested positive for the Covid-19 viral infection.

The IPL is all set to begin from where it left off after four months as the remaining matches of the 2021 edition will be resuming in the Arab country from September 19. Four days ahead of the commencement, the organizers had on Wednesday unveiled a major announcement that the spectators will be allowed to the stadium to watch the matches. The season will be resuming on Sunday with defending champions Mumbai Indians taking on the Chennai Super Kings at the Dubai International Stadium.

Though the spectators are allowed, the reports say that they can't be occupying the stadium to the fullest as only limited people will be granted entry. In a statement, the IPL organizers said, "This match will be a momentous occasion as IPL will welcome the fans back to the stadiums after a brief hiatus owing to the Covid-19 situation." "Matches will be played at Dubai, Sharjah, and Abu Dhabi with limited seating available keeping in mind the Covid protocols and UAE government regulations", the statement added.

Though the organizers haven't specifically mentioned the exact number of fans who would be allowed, the reports affirm that the presence would be 50 per cent of the stadium's capacity. Through the announcement, Sunday's match between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings will be the first match since 2019 when the IPL was played in the presence of spectators. The league organizers had said that the fans can buy tickets from September 16 for the upcoming matches on the official website 'www.iplt20.com'.

It has been reported that the tickets can also be purchased on PlatinumList.net. Twenty-nine matches were played in the first phase of the IPL 2021 till May 2 before the season got suspended. As it is getting ready for resumption, the stadiums and the UAE government would settle down with the measures of hosting the upcoming T20 world cup through the IPL games. The World Cup will be jointly hosted by the UAE and Oman and it will begin on October 17.
