'It can't be forgotten in our lives' - Rajinikanth's strong words against Karuppar Koottam!

As the outrage stirs upon the controversy surfaced by the Karuppar Koottam group over what has been labeled as the derogatory and disrespectful remarks against Hindu God Murugan and devotional song Kanda Sashti Kavacham, Actor and Political Hopeful Rajinikanth has voiced against the group and lauded the Tamil Nadu government for taking the action against the responsible people.

The actor has commented on the controversy for the first time and his comment has come after the Tamil Nadu crime branch has arrested four people connected to the Karuppar Koottam Youtube channel. Taking to Twitter, Rajinikanth has, on Wednesday, aired his notion on what he thinks on the issue and controversy.

In his tweet, Rajanikanth said, "My heartfelt commendation to the Tamil Nadu government for intervening in the matter and for removing the concerned videos and for taking swift action against the responsible people who demeaned and affronted 'Kanda Sashti Kavacham' in a disgusting manner, and hurt the sentiments of crores of Tamil people in a way that would never be forgotten in our lives".

He further stated that "let religious hatred and disrespect towards the god at least end now. All religions are the same, Kanthanuku Arogara".  The actor has placed a fierce notion in condemning the Karuppar Koottam group for posting the video of dishonoring Kandha Sashti Kavacham, a devotional slogan of Lord Murugan.

The video has instigated the tensions and outrage from the pro-Hindu groups including BJP and other Hindu outfits and the Tamil Nadu BJP wing has demanded strict action against the people for publishing a video that had insulted their sentiments. The wing has moved its complaint against Karuppar Koottam to the Tamil Nadu Cyber Crime Branch.

On Tuesday, the Cybercrime has removed 500 videos uploaded in the Youtube channel operated by Karuppar Koottam and they also have arrested four people attached to the channel. According to the reports, Surendra Natarajan - the anchor who presented the video, Senthilvasan of Velachery, Guhan of Maraimalai Nagar, and Somasundaram of Otteri have been arrested so far.

Rajinikanth's voice has come at a high time when the pro-Hindu groups have been accusing the Dravidian parties of supporting Karuppar Koottam. DMK has asserted that its not an anti-Hindu party the party's senior leaders had backed off from voicing for the group, which is facing unprecedented criticisms over the video as members of the Hindu outfits had vandalized Periyar statue in Coimbatore and Erode by claiming that the anti-Hindu video had provoked them.
