At the press meeting of Prince that took place on Monday, Sivakarthikeyan spoke about the film and its idea, setting expectations straight for the audiences. He spilled an interesting fun fact from the plot of the film, " Anudeep is very different. He has created a village in India that does not exist on the map". Addressing the event, the actor said, "Prince has a very simple storyline about an Indian boy falling for a foreign girl, but the treatment by Anudeep is very different."

"He (Anudeep) has created a village in India that does not exist on the map, so his characters and his living come with a difference - they all have some innocence in them and are a little silly", the actor added. "This Diwali is special for me as this is my first festival film", the actor stated.

He further said, "A hero from Tamil, a director from Telugu, if this clicks there will be changes in the South Indian film industry. Because many heroes will be optioned, alliances will be formed, and producers will be eager to produce." Sivakarthikeyan wished the Sardar team a grand success. Sardar is starred by Karthi and it will be released on the same day, October 21, clashing with Prince.

Prince is bankrolled by D Suresh Babu Narayan Das K Narang, and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao through Suresh Productions Pvt, Sree Venkateshwara Cinemas LLP, and Shanthi Talkies. The cinematography is done by Manoj Paramahamsa, Praveen KL served as the editor and Thaman composed the music.
