In a thrilling announcement for fans and cinephiles alike, Kalaippuli S Thanu, the producer of the iconic film "Aalavandhan," has declared a grand re-release of the movie on over 1000 screens globally. He took to X, and shared the update along with a new re-release poster that has stirred excitement among fans of the legendary actor Kamal Haasan.

Under the banner of V Creations, Kalaippuli S Thanu expressed the anticipation surrounding the re-release of "Aalavandhan," a film that is widely hailed as one of Kamal Haasan's best works. The movie, known for its cult classic status, promises to captivate audiences once again with its unique narrative and Kamal Haasan's exceptional performance.

This announcement follows the successful re-release earlier this year of Kamal Haasan's Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu, which enjoyed a superb run in theaters. The decision to bring back these cinematic gems to the big screen speaks volumes about the timeless appeal of Kamal Haasan's films and the enduring love of audiences for his exceptional body of work.

Director Suresh Krissna, also celebrating the 22nd anniversary of "AALAVANDHAAN," took to social media to acknowledge the film's iconic status, referring to it as a cult classic. His post not only commemorates the milestone but also pays tribute to the unparalleled talent of Kamal Haasan, often hailed as Ulaganayagan (Universal Hero).

The storyline of "Aalavandhan" revolves around the complex relationship between two brothers, Major Vijay Kumar and Nandu. Vijay, a military officer, is pitted against his disturbed and violent twin brother Nandu, who becomes a psychotic killer. The film delves into the psychological aspects of their characters, unraveling a gripping tale of suspense and drama.

Kamal Haasan's performance in "Aalavandhan" is lauded for its depth and intensity. The actor's ability to seamlessly switch between the contrasting roles of the heroic Major Vijay Kumar and the menacing Nandu earned him widespread acclaim.

The film also features noteworthy performances by Raveena Tandon, Manisha Koirala, and others. The cinematography by Tirru, coupled with innovative visual effects for its time, added a distinct flavor to the movie. The film's music, composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, contributed to its overall impact.
