‘Jailer’ fever: How fans broke the internet in 15 seconds for audio launch passes

The frenzy for Superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming film ‘Jailer’ is at its peak as the fans are eagerly waiting for the audio and trailer launch on July 28. The event, which will take place at the Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai, has created a record of sorts as the passes for it were sold out in just 15 seconds!

The production house, Sun Pictures, had announced 1,000 free passes for the fans to attend the mega event and witness their Thalaivar in action. As soon as the passes were made available online today, July 24, they were snapped up by 500 lucky fans in a matter of seconds. The makers took to Twitter to share the news and thank the fans for their overwhelming response.

They wrote, "Ivan Trend-ah maathi veppaan! Alapparai-ya kelapitinga  All the passes have been claimed in just 15 seconds #JailerAudioLaunch @rajinikanth @Nelsondilpkumar @anirudhofficial #Jailer". Jailer is one of the most anticipated Tamil films of 2023, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar.

The film features Rajinikanth as a ruthless jailer who has a mysterious past. The film also stars Ramya Krishnan, Tamannaah Bhatia, Jackie Shroff, Vinayakan and Yogi Babu in pivotal roles. The film has a stellar cameo line-up as well, with Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar and Tiger Shroff making special appearances.

The film’s music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, who has already delivered a chartbuster song ‘Kaavaalaa’, featuring Tamannaah and Rajinikanth. The song has gone viral on social media and has raised the expectations for the rest of the album. The film’s cinematography is handled by Vijay Karthik Kannan and editing by R Nirmal.

Jailer is slated to hit the theatres on August 10, coinciding with the Independence Day weekend. The film is expected to set new box office records as the fans are eagerly waiting to see their Superstar on the big screen after his last outing ‘Annathe'.
