Jailer Update: Superstar proceeds to shoot in Mangalore with Kannada star Shiva Rajkumar... Don't miss the viral picture!

Superstar Rajinikanth recently finished filming in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan with Mohanlal and Jackie Shroff for their upcoming film, titled "Jailer." Latest reports have that the production team moving back to Mangalore for the major part of filming, which will star Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar. A photo of the Superstar with a veteran actor from Kannada is going viral on the internet.

As seen in a viral photo taken on February 14th, in which Rajinikanth and Shiva Rajkumar are chatting with two others. The actor will be in the city for six days for the talkie portions of Jailer and for some key scenes, they will be shooting at the beach side in Panambur as per sources from the leading portal. A source has also revealed that Shivarajkumar joined the crew on Monday and will spend the next two days filming alongside Rajinikanth.

Directed by Nelson Dhilipkumarm Jailer is a mega multistarrer featuring Rajini, Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, Jackie, Shroff, Sunil, Tamannaah, Yogi Babu, Vasanth Ravi, Ramya Krishnan, Mirna, and others with music by Anirudh. Last year on Superstar Rajinikanth's 73rd birthday, a short preview of Jailer was released where it was revealed Rajinikanth is playing the role of Muthuvel Pandian in this film.

Cinematography by Vijay Karthik Kannan, Stunt Shiva is working as the action director for Jailer. Also Pallavi Singh is working as Stylist & Costume Designer in Jailer. Nelson who helmed Kolamavu Kokila, Doctor, Beast is directing the film. This film is also produced by Sun Pictures, which produced the Superstar's last Annathe. The big movie will also star Tamannaah, who will be acting alongside Thalaivar. However, she will only show up in flashbacks. This will be her first project with the Annathe star. The rumour is that on Diwali 2023, Jailer will finally be released in theatres.

The plot revolves around a feared gangster and his men who plot to escape from prison but are foiled by a strict jailer. The story revolves around the jailor's attempts to thwart the gang's plan. After Jailer, Rajinikanth will began working for TJ Gnanvel, where the flick will be a social drama based on real life incident. And Notably the actor will be doing two films under Lyca Productions.
