Nayanthara, the lady superstar of South Indian cinema, has finally stepped into the Hindi film industry with her first full-fledged role in Jawan. The action thriller, which stars Shah Rukh Khan as a military officer named Azad, is directed by Atlee, who is known for his blockbuster Tamil films like Theri, Mersal and Bigil. The film also features Deepika Padukone, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra and Sunil Grover in pivotal roles.

Nayanthara plays the role of Azad’s partner and has impressed the audience with her performance and screen presence, as she matches Shah Rukh Khan’s charisma and charm. In an interview with PTI, Nayanthara revealed that she did not receive any offer for a Hindi film before Jawan and that the situation was different now.

She said that the concept of pan-Indian films has changed the way regional content is viewed and appreciated by all audiences. She added that this change has given confidence to all the actors and directors to explore new avenues and genres.

Nayanthara also said that she was happy to connect with the people of all the southern states through her films, whether it was Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam or Tamil. She said that as long as it was a good movie, people would watch it no matter what language it was in.

Jawan, which released on September 7, 2023, has received positive reviews from critics and fans alike. The film has been praised for its gripping storyline, stunning action sequences, powerful performances and catchy music by Anirudh Ravichander. The film has also broken several box office records and has emerged as one of the biggest hits of the year.
