The much-awaited Tamil movie Iraivan, starring Jayam Ravi and Nayanthara in the lead roles, hit the screens today along with Chandramukhi 2. The movie, directed by I. Ahmed, is a thriller that revolves around a mysterious serial killer who calls himself ‘Iraivan’, meaning ‘God’ in Tamil.

The movie has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, and impressive performances by the star cast, which includes Rahul Bose, Ashish Vidyarthi, and Naren. The movie is produced by Sudhan Sundaram and Jayaram G and has cinematography by Hari K Vedanth and editing by JV Manikanda Balaji. The movie was also released in Telugu, titled “God”.

The movie has been causing quite a stir on social media, where fans and critics alike are eagerly pouring  their thoughts on the film. However, the movie seems to have received mixed reviews, with some praising the movie for its gripping music, suspense, and action, while others criticizing the movie for its excessive violence, weak screenplay, and lack of logic.

One filmbuff wrote, "Jayam Ravi and Nayanthara have given their best performances. The music by Yuvan is haunting and apt for the movie. A must-watch for thriller lovers.” While other says,  “Iraivan is a decent thriller, but not a great one. The movie has some good moments, but also some flaws. The screenplay could have been tighter and more coherent. The violence is too much and unnecessary. Jayam Ravi and Nayanthara are good, but Rahul Bose steals the show as the villain.”
