"Jigarthanda -1 is the film I should have done"... This prowess actor director shares his thoughts on Jigarthanda 2 after FDFS!

In a recent visit to the theaters, actor and director R. Parthiben shared his exhilarating experience after catching the First Day, First Show (FDFS) of 'Jigarthanda DoubleX'. Not positioning himself as a critic but rather as an ardent movie buff, attributing his enthusiasm Jigarthanda-2 directed by Karthik Subbaraj.

In his shoutout, Parthiben extends gratitude to his friends Mr. Lawrence, Mr. SJ Surya, Mr. Santhosh Narayanan, Mr. Kathiresan, and others, including the heroine, for delivering impactful performances that resonated with the force of an elephant, crafting intense and emotional scenes that left him in awe.

He took to X, penned in Tamil roughly translates as, "Jigarthanda -1 is the film I should have done. I am extra happy because I got to know my friend Mr. Karthik Subburaj before the debut of the first film I enjoyed the burst of applause in the theater like Diwali firecrackers,"

The much-anticipated "Jigarthanda DoubleX," helmed by Karthik Subbaraj and starring Raghava Lawrence and SJ Suryah in lead roles, creating a wave of excitement among fans and critics alike. The period gangster drama, released on 10th November 2023, unfolds the tale of Pandiyan, an ambitious gangster in Madurai with dreams of becoming the first dark-skinned actor in Tamil cinema.

To achieve this unconventional dream, Pandiyan enlists the help of Ray Dasan, played by SJ Suryah, a former assistant director to Satyajit Ray, eager to make his directorial debut. However, the plot thickens as Pandiyan finds himself hunted by rivals, leading to a cascade of complications for the film's production.

Produced by Kaarthekeyen Santhanam, S. Kathiresan, and Alankar Pandian under Stone Bench Films, Five Star Creations, and Invenio Origin respectively, "Jigarthanda DoubleX" pays homage to its predecessor, the 2014 hit 'Jigarthanda'. The film's creative team, including composer Santhosh Narayanan, cinematographer Tirru, and editor Shafique Mohamed Ali, promises a visual and auditory treat for the audience.

The stellar cast, featuring Raghava Lawrence as the aspiring gangster Pandiyan and SJ Suryah as the ambitious director Ray Dasan, has garnered praise for their compelling performances. Nimisha Sajayan, Naveen Chandra, Sathyan, Aravind Akash, Ilavarasu, and Bava Chelladurai contribute to the film's rich ensemble.
