According to reports close to the developments, a court clerk for Los Angeles Superior Court said on Friday that Kim Kardashian West has filed for divorce from Kanye West. Christy Welder, a representative for Kardashian had confirmed the divorce filing in her filing, Kardashian had cited 'irreconcilable differences' as the reason for divorce and she also had sought joint custody of the couple's four children.
Kim and Kanye had got married in Italy in 2014 in a lavish wedding ceremony and they are parents of four - two sons and two daughters. They have one of the most celebrated and opulent couples on the globe. It has been reported that they had developed spat and have been living apart for some time. The drift had grown and they have seen together only for the sake of the kids but have been living separately.
Kardashian was staying in California with the kids while Kanye West has reportedly been living at their home in Wyoming. According to CNN, both had high-profile relationships before they went public with their love in 2012. In an awe-struck fashion, West had lavishly proposed to Kardashian by renting out a baseball stadium and hiring an orchestra. West had gifted a ring to Kardashian and proposed to her amid the presence of Kardashian's family. The proposal was documented and shared on the family's popular reality series "Keeping up With the Kardashians".
They got married in 2012 in Tuscany, Italy in a sumptuous ceremony and the couple had four children together- daughter North West (born in 2013), followed by a son Saint West in 2015, daughter Chicago West in 2018, and son Psalm West in 2019. He also posted a series of tweets accusing his wife Kardashian and his mother-in-law of trying to lock him up and said he had been trying to file a divorce from Kardashian for months. However, he later deleted the tweets.
