Kollywood stirs massive expectations: Suriya and Jyothika to act together on the big screen?

Kollywood has been surfaced with strong speculations that Suriya and Jyothika are coming together on the big screen after a long time for the movies that would be directed by growing women filmmakers in India. 

According to reports close to the developments, directors Halitha Shameem of 'Silu Karupatti' fame and Anjali Menon of 'Bangalore Days' fame are working on a script for Suriya and Jyothika to act together. If everything goes as planned, the fans of one of the favorite couples in Kollywood would see the perfect comeback of Suriya and Jyothika on the big screen after a long time. 

Jyothika, who stills holds an immense reputation for being one of the most favorite actresses in the cinema industry, had acted with Suriya in some movies before they got married and they haven't shared the screen space after their wedding as they have been waiting for the opportunity. Recently, Suriya revealed that he would like to work with his wife and that they are waiting for the right script. 

The actor said that they would be ready to act in the leading roles and the announcement of their comeback would be one of the significant ones in Kollywood in recent times. Currently, Suriya has completed his project 'Soorarai Pottru' and the movie would be getting released on November 12 exclusively on Amazon Prime video, two days ahead of Diwali. 

In what has become the Diwali gift for his fans, Soorarai Pottru will be one of the significant movies in Suriya's career and it has been the first big release in the Tamil cinema industry on the OTT platform. Produced by Suriya, the movie is directed by 'Iruthi Suttru' fame Sudha Kongara and Aparna Balamurali will be playing as the female lead while GV Prakash Kumar had composed music. 

Jyothika was lastly seen in 'Pon Magal Vandhaal' directed by JJ Fredrick and it was the first Tamil movie to get released on the OTT platform and it was released on May 29 on the Amazon Prime Video. Starred by Bagyaraj, R Parthiban, Pandiarajan, and Prathap Pothen in important roles, '96' fame Govind Vasantha had composed music. The movie had received mixtures of critics and registered a welcoming reception on the OTT platform.
