Lal Salaam: Not only the cameo... AR Rahman reveals the Superstar's work in Aishwarya Rajinikanth's directorial!

Rajinikanth, the legendary actor and politician, has received glowing praise from his friend and music composer AR Rahman, who has collaborated with him on several films, including the upcoming Lal Salaam. In a recent media interaction, Rahman spoke about Rajinikanth’s spirituality, his political vision, and his contribution to the film industry.

Rahman defended Rajinikanth from the criticism he faced for his speech at the audio launch of Lal Salaam, where he said that he was a spiritual person and not a religious fanatic. Rahman said that Rajinikanth was misunderstood by some netizens, who accused him of being too religious.

Rahman also expressed his admiration for Rajinikanth’s style and charisma, which have made him a global icon. He said that Rajinikanth has broken many barriers and stereotypes in his career, and has inspired millions of people with his humble and generous personality. He added that Rajinikanth has a unique ability to balance his spiritual and cinematic life, and can be a powerful voice for social issues and causes.

Rahman also revealed a surprising fact about Lal Salaam, the political thriller directed by Rajinikanth’s daughter Aishwarya. He said that Rajinikanth has written some parts of the dialogue in the movie, which reflect his wisdom and research. Rahman said that he was initially skeptical about the movie, thinking that it would be boring and preachy, but he was impressed by the final cut, which he found to be thought-provoking and humanist.

Rahman, who has composed the music for the movie, said that he was honored to work with Rajinikanth and Aishwarya, and hoped that the movie would be a success. Lal Salaam is slated to release on February 9 2024. The film also boasts of a stellar cast that includes Jeevitha, Thambi Ramaiah, Ananthika Sanilkumar, Vivek Prasanna and Thangadurai in supporting roles.
