Leave Delhi now - advice for Sonia Gandhi! Here's why...

As the sequel of worsening air quality in Delhi, Congress President Sonia Gandhi has been advised to leave the city for a few days and carry out her duties by avoiding the heavy pollution that has been prevailing in the national capital.

The doctors had advised her to shift out of Delhi due to her chronic chest infection. According to reports, the Congress president would likely be moving out of the city soon and she would be accompanied either by Rahul Gandhi or Priyanka Gandhi. The leaders close to the development say that air pollution and the poor quality had made her more susceptible to Asthma and suffer chest related ailments and breathing difficulty.

Following the state of uncertainty, her doctors had advised her to briefly shift out of the city. The reports say that Sonia Gandhi may either move to Goa or Chennai for a few days. The development has come at a high time when the Congress party is in the need of carrying out an introspection drive to fix and repair the damages of the party to stop further debacles.

Recently, Congress has lost the assembly polls in Bihar due to its flawed and abysmal performance and paved the way for the BJP led NDA alliance to rule the state for five more years. Nitish Kumar has sworn-in as the Chief Minister of Bihar for the fourth consecutive time. Following the defeat, some of the senior leaders had asked for a change in the organizational strategies.

Sonia Gandhi (73) has been under medical observation since her discharge from the hospital in August and doctors are concerned about her consistent chest infection. Earlier, Sonia Gandhi was admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi on July 30, and later on September 12, she had undergone her routine check-up overseas. In January last year, Sonia Gandhi was shifted to Goa for some time due to her health condition and during her stay in Goa, she was seen cycling, which went viral on social media.
