Maaveeran, the latest Tamil blockbuster starring Sivakarthikeyan and Aditi Shankar, is a rollercoaster ride of action, fantasy, and social commentary that has won the hearts of critics and audiences alike. The film, directed by Madonne Ashwin, who won a national award for his debut film Mandela, tells the story of a cowardly cartoonist who becomes a superhero after being ‘controlled’ by a cartoon action figure.

Aditi plays the female lead of the film, a smart and confident girl who falls in love with the protagonist.  Her proud father, director Shankar, has watched the film and shared his thoughts on social media. He praised the director Madonne Ashwin for his brilliant writing and ingenuity, and called the film a classy mass entertainer with a fantastic sense of humor.

He took to twitter and shared a special note, which reads, "#Maaveeran Brilliantly written Dir. Madonne Ashwin's ingenuity shows he's here to stay. Classy Mass entertainer and fantastic sense of humor within the script. SK gave a commendable performance,"

"Aditi did well with what she was given. Ms. Saritha, YogiBabu and Mysskin performed wonderfully! Actions scripted and choreographed remarkably. Plaudits to all who worked hard for this film! Surely an enjoyable new experience with families".

Produced by Arun Viswa under Shanthi Talkies, the film's fantasy element adds a fresh twist to the familiar plot of a zero transforming into a hero. The film also boasts of remarkable technical aspects. The music by Bharath Shankar is catchy and elevates the mood of the film. The cinematography by Vidhu Ayyanna who elevated the film by capturing the contrast between the slum and the city.
