Major setback for Sunrisers Hyderabad...T Natarajan is out of IPL 2021: Here's why!

In what has become a major setback for the Sunrisers Hyderabad amid relishing their first victory in the current IPL after marking a hat-trick defeat, the team's significant pacer T Natarajan is out of the IPL 2021 in the wake of an injury. The team has now pushed to miss the left-arm seamer, who is known as the yorker king, for the rest of the tournament.

According to reports, 30-year-old Natajaran had suffered a knee injury that warranted him to be at rest and he won't be taking part in the remaining matches of the season. On Thursday, SRH captain David Warner said, "He (Natarajan) has obviously got a sore knee. Given the circumstance in these bubbles, if he goes and gets a scan, he obviously has to sit out for seven days. He has to get back in quarantine."

He added, "We are just monitoring him at the moment. The physios are doing their best to analyze from a face point of view but he obviously has to go out and get a scan at some point". Natarajan has played the first two matches of the team in the current season but missed the next two and he was then replaced by fellow left-arm pacer Khaleel Ahmed.

In his two matches, Natarajan has picked two wickets. He made his debut to the Indian team across all formats on the Australian tour that was held earlier this year through which he came to the spotlight. The reports say that he had originally developed a knee injury during the Australian tour. He had never fully recovered from the knee injury because of the heavy workload he endured on the tour.

He was not completely ready for the match though he had gone for rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA). The injury has got severe which has warranted him to leave the current IPL season.   Sunrisers Hyderabad had witnessed a flawed opening in the season where it had conceded the defeat for the three consecutive matches.

It was defeated by the Kolkata Knight Riders, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Mumbai Indians in the first three matches respectively and the team has got a convincing victory against the Punjab Kings on Wednesday. SRH currently stands at fifth place at the points table and it will take on the Delhi Capitals on Sunday.
