The leaked scenes, which troubled the movie team, were the talk of the town after piracy, which constantly has been posing a threat and disruption to the movie industry, had played its role in what has become Vijay's most expected movie across and beyond the borders.  Bracing up for a shock, the movie team and the ardent fans of Vijay have been addressing in social media with their appeal to the people not to share and spread the leaked scenes.

The movie team has been pressing that the film was made possible by the deep struggle of over one year with many artists and technicians are hoping to have a revival from the distressed lockdown through the movie. While the movie team was strongly expecting a hassle-free release, piracy had affected its expectations, leaving them to urge everyone not to share the leaked scenes. The movie team has been busy on social media with sharing its appeal.

After the shocking development, the movie producer XB Film Creators too to Twitter and said, "Team Master requests you all not to forward/ share any leaked content and if you come across anything of these sorts, please share it with us at report@blockxpiracy.com". Anirudh Ravichander, who scored music for the movie, had also put his appeal not to share the leaked content. Taking to Twitter, the music composer said, "It’s the hard work of 1000s of people. Please report any leaked clips immediately to report@blockxpiracy.com".

Movie director Lokesh Kanagaraj put out his appeal and said, "Dear all It's been a 1.5 year long struggle to bring Master to u. All we have is hope that you'll enjoy it in theatres. Master will be released on January 13 in theaters across the state and the release would finally be bringing the incessant wait of the fans to an end. The movie was supposed to get released in April last year. However, the COVID-19 pandemic and the lockdown triggered by the outbreak had deferred the movie release after the theaters were indefinitely shut down. The movie has strongly been expected since then and it has crossed the speculations whether the movie is packed for the OTT release and it's finally ready to hit the big screens.

The fans are waiting for a Master Pongal so are the theaters with the hope of having a strong revival on the corridors of revenue after the lockdown. Master is bankrolled by Xavier Britto under the banner of XB Film Creators while Lokesh Kanagaraj has directed the movie, which marks the first collaboration for 'Kaithi' director to work with Vijay. While Vijay will be playing the role of the college professor, Vijay Sethupathi will be playing the antagonist, and Malavika Mohanan in the female lead. Andrea Jeremiah, Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, and Gauri Kishan will be playing important roles.
