Major twists and debacles in Maharashtra - Here are the latest developments!

While it was predicted that the trio alliance of Congress, Shiv Sena, and Nationalist Congress party will form a new government in India's richest state of Maharashtra which has been under the Presidential rule, the BJP has bestowed an early morning surprise and tuned a fresh twist in the month-long political drama after the BJP's Chief Ministerial candidate and incumbent Devendra Fadnavis has taken oath as the Chief Minister of Maharasthra in what it can be reported as the end of the political turmoil.

Devendra Fadnavis has assumed the office of the Chief Minister for the second consecutive term and Nationalist Congress Party's leader and  Sharad Pawar's nephew Ajit Pawar had taken oath as the state's deputy Chief Minister.

Until yesterday, the state has been under the expectation that the tri-party Congress, its rival and BJP's ally Shiv Sena - which recently cracked down a three-decades-long alliance with BJP and Nationalist Congress Party would be forming a new government after attaining consensus and on Friday, the top leaders of the tri-party had hosted a final discussion to form the government and to oust the BJP from the rule. In an overnight twist, the ruling baton was passed to the BJP to retain the power after Ajit Pawar had consented his party's support to the BJP that had stunned and speared the grounds of Shiv Sena and Congress where the leaders of tri-party had proposed Uddhav Thackeray as the Chief Minister.

However, commenting about the party's ally with BJP, the chief of Nationalist Congress Party Sharad Pawar has said that the party doesn't join hands with the BJP and claimed to be Ajit Pawar's personal decision and further stated that the party do not support or endorse this decision on allying with the BJP and his comment had screened fresh clouds of uncertainty and political drama amidst the sunny weather in Mumbai.

The political drama with the mixtures of heat, twist, turmoil has been reaching the next level with back to back setbacks for the parties and the leaders have been oiling the fire through presenting aberrant and uncertain developments. In the state's legislative elections that held for 288 member assembly last month, the BJP had won 105 seats while NCP, Shiv Sena, and Congress had swept 54, 56 and 44 seats respectively and after failing to have no single-party majority, the state Governor had imposed Presidential rule in the state that has now been revoked after the formation of BJP government.
