In a much-anticipated revelation, the makers of Mamannan, took to Twitter on a Friday eve and dropped the intense trailer of "Maamannan." Directed by the visionary filmmaker Mari Selvaraj, this highly anticipated flick promises a thrilling concoction of revenge, political intrigue, and societal upheaval.

Clocking in at three minutes, the trailer is a rollercoaster ride of emotions that leaves a storming anticipation. Adding to the excitement, comedy maestro Vadivelu's role of a sincere mentor, he becomes the rock upon which Udhayanidhi Stalin's character finds solace and strength.

The trailer plunges us into a world where personal vendettas intertwine with the complex web of politics and social calamities, leaving no room for respite. The chemistry between Vadivelu and Udhayanidhi Stalin crackles with energy, promising a dynamic and layered performance. Udhayanidhi Stalin portrays a young leader fighting passionately for the rights of the marginalized, while Fahadh Faasil embodies a merciless and power-hungry antagonist, where Keerthy Suresh enters the scene as the love interest of Udhayanidhi Stalin.

Bursting with adrenaline-pumping action sequences, heartfelt dialogues, and breathtaking visuals, the trailer captures the essence of the film's power. Heightening the impact, AR Rahman's haunting background score becomes an integral component, effortlessly intensifying the mood and emotions conveyed throughout the trailer, worth noting of last few minutes of the video. 

Maamannan is produced by M Shengabag Moorthy and R Arjun Durai of Red Giant Movies. The film has cinematography by Theni Eswar, editing by Selva RK, and art direction by Kumar Gangappan. The film also features a poem written by Telugu poet Nangamuni. Maamannan is slated to hit the theatres on June 29th 2023.

Maamannan marks Udhayanidhi Stalin’s last film as an actor, as he announced his retirement from acting after being sworn in as Tamil Nadu’s Minister. Maamannan is expected to be a milestone in Mari Selvaraj’s career, who has previously delivered critically acclaimed films like Pariyerum Perumal and Karnan.
