The audio launch of Maamannan, the much-awaited film by Mari Selvaraj, was a star-studded affair on Thursday in Chennai. The event was graced by the lead actors Udhayanidhi Stalin, Keerthy Suresh, Fahadh Faasil, and Vadivelu, as well as other celebrities from the film industry.

But the biggest surprise of the night came when AR Murugadoss, the renowned writer-producer-director of films like Ghajini, Thuppakki, and Darbar, announced that he would be making a cameo appearance in Maamannan.

AR Murugadoss, who was invited as a special guest for the audio launch, revealed that he had a small role in the film and thanked Mari Selvaraj for giving him the opportunity. He also praised Udhayanidhi Stalin for his acting skills and his support for his previous films Thuppakki and Yezham Arivu.

He said, "I believe Maamannan will offer a big revolutionary message. I am forever indebted to Udhayanidhi for helping me with the release of Thuppakki and Yezham Arivu." Maamannan is the third directorial venture of Mari Selvaraj, who has made a mark with his critically acclaimed and commercially successful films Pariyerum Perumal and Karnan.

The film is expected to be a political drama with a social message, as hinted by the title which means “King Maker”. The film also marks the comeback of comedian Vadivelu after a long hiatus. The music of the film is composed by Santhosh Narayanan, who has collaborated with Mari Selvaraj for all his films.

The film is produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin under his banner Red Giant Movies. It is slated to release in June this year. It will be Udhayanidhi’s final film as an actor before he takes up a full-fledged political career.

Maamannan has already created a lot of buzz among the fans and critics with its impressive teaser and songs. The addition of AR Murugadoss to the cast has raised the expectations even higher. The film promises to be a treat for the audience who are looking for a powerful and engaging cinema experience.
