Vishal’s ‘Mark Antony’ is one of the most awaited films of 2023. The action thriller, directed by Adhik Ravichandran, features Vishal and SJ Suryah as two gangsters who acquire a mobile phone that has the ability to time travel. The film also stars Ritu Varma, K. Selvaraghavan, Sunil Verma, Nizhalgal Ravi and others in pivotal roles.

The makers of the film have recently announced that ‘Mark Antony’ will hit the screens on Vinayagar Chaturthi, on September 19, 2023. The film will clash with Raghava Lawrence’s ‘Chandramukhi 2’, which is also slated for the same date. Both films are expected to create a huge buzz among the fans and the trade circles.

Vishal and SJ Suryah took to their social media handles to share the exciting update by posting a new poster of the film.  Vishal took to Twitter and shared a new look poster of the film and wittily penned, “#MarkAntony Vinayagar chaturthi release da mamae @iam_SJSuryah Naa Ready Dha Varava??” while SJ Suryah replied with “Ready mamae ready!! Nanae ellathayum Mathi marandhu mari vandhu iruken “HI FOLKS #MarkAntony on VinayagaChathurthi in theatres”. 

‘Mark Antony’ is Vishal’s 33rd film and it is produced by Mini Studios. The film has music by GV Prakash Kumar, cinematography by Abhinandan Ramanujam and editing by Vijay Velukutty. The film is planned as a pan-Indian project, releasing in five languages- Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi.

The title of the film is inspired by the popular character named Mark Antony played by the late actor Raghuvaran in superstar Rajinikanth’s blockbuster film ‘Baasha’. The first look of the film was unveiled on January 1, 2022 and it received a positive response from the audience. The film is expected to be a high-octane entertainer with a sci-fi twist.
