Massive announcement from Annaatthe: Rajini fans...Are you ready to celebrate?

In what has become a massive announcement from the makers of Annaatthe, the fans had braced up relishing news that was unfolded on Monday. As they prepare for celebrating Diwali with superstar Rajinikanth, Sun Pictures had presented a surprise pack of treat by announcing the release of the teaser of the much-anticipated movie. Annaatthe is slated for release during Diwali - November 4 and the movie team has been carrying out the preparations in full swing to deliver the movie to the fans. 

On Monday, Sun Pictures took to Twitter and announced, "Arangam Mulukka therikka therikka! #AnnaattheTeaser is releasing on October 14 @ 6 pm." The announcement of the teaser has come two days after the release of the second single 'Saara Kaattrae'. The teaser update has been going viral on social media and it will be unveiled on the occasion of the Puja festival. On Saturday, the song Saara Kaattrae was released and till Monday, by the time of writing this content, the song has garnered over three million views. 

The romantic song features Rajinikanth and Nayanthara and runs for four minutes. While Yugabharathi had penned lyrics for 'Saara Kaattrae', the song was sung by Sid Sriram and Shreya Ghoshal. The movie team had released the first single 'Annaatthe Annaatthe' on October 4 and the song was sung by late legendary singer SP Balasubrahmanyam (SPB). It was in fact became the last song of SPB not only for Rajinikanth but for the entire cinema industry. 

As the song with SPB's voice was released last Monday, Rajinikanth went emotional and penned a touching note, remembering SPB's legacy. Taking to Twitter, Rajinikanth wrote, "When SPB, who lived as my voice for 45 years, sang a song for me in Annaatthe, I have never dreamt that this is going to be his last song for me. My dear SPB will live forever through his sweet voice." 

The first look and the motion poster of Annaatthe were released on September 10 on the occasion of Vinayagar Chaturthi. While the movie is produced by Kalanithi Maran under his own banner Sun Pictures, Annaatthe is written and directed by Siva. While Rajinikanth plays the lead role, the movie has an ensemble cast with Meena, Khushbu, Nayanthara, Keerthy Suresh, Jackie Shroff, Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj, Vela Ramamoorthy, Soori, Sathish, George Maryan, and Thavasi play important roles. Cinematography and Editing are performed by Vetri and Ruben respectively. It has been expected that Annaatthe will be clashing with Simbu's 'Maanaadu' which also has been reserved for the Diwali release.
