Superstar actor and political freshman Rajinikanth had celebrated his 70th birthday on Saturday, which has indeed become his first birthday after announcing his political plunge ahead of the assembly polls. As the actor turned 70 at a high time when he is preparing for what was surfaced as the expectations from him over many years, his ardent fans from across and beyond the borders have been celebrating his birthday as theirs. 

As the clock is ticking for December 31st during which he would make an official announcement about his political party, he has been in the national political limelight with several debates and speculations around his stint of unveiling spiritual politics. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several political leaders had wished the superstar on his birthday. Amid the birthday celebrations, the fans of the superstar had got a big announcement that Rajinikanth is going to resume the shooting for 'Annaatthe'.

Sun Pictures, which is producing the movie had released a special video for the actor and his fans on Saturday. The video featured movie director Siruthai Siva and in the video, along with conveying birthday wishes to the superstar, Siva had revealed that the shooting for the movie would be resuming from December 15 and Rajinikanth will be taking part in the shoot which will be taking place in Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. 

As Annaathe would be the last movie for Rajinikanth with the actor turning into an active politician, the fans have been eagerly waiting for the movie, which was launched last December in Chennai. The shooting of the movie had started in February, it was indefinitely suspended in the wake of the COVID-19 lockdown and restrictions. After the government had poured relaxations, the shooting was about to resume, however, it got halted again as director Siva's father had demised recently. 

Rajinikanth and Siva, who worked with Ajith in recent times, had come together for their first movie 'Annaatthe' and it is expected to hit the big screens by next year.  Produced by Sun Pictures, Rajinikanth plays a lead role and the movie has inducted some of the reputed faces including Nayanthara, Meena, Kushboo, Prakash Raj, Sathish, Keerthy Suresh, and Soori. Bollywood actor and 'Bigil' fame Jackie Shroff will be playing antagonist against Rajinikanth. 

D Imman had composed music and the announcement of the shooting resumption had relished the fans of the superstar, as it would be his last movie. Recently, Rajini had announced that he is taking a political plunge and said that he will launch his party in January 2021 and he also said that he will be making an official announcement about the political party by December 3. 

During the press meet, Rajinikanth had said that the time has come to change the fate of Tamil Nadu and while answering the question concerning Annaatthe, the superstar said that 40% of the shooting is remaining and asserted that he would complete the shoot soon.
