In 'Master' vs 'Easwaran', Simbu makes a different request to his fans!

Ten days ahead of the release of his upcoming movie 'Easwaran', Tamil actor Silambarasan has made a different request to his fans to encourage them to watch the movie in the theaters with the view of bringing the audience back to theaters from the home confined OTT platforms. Along with 'Easwaran', Vijay's much-anticipated movie 'Master' is also hitting the big screens during the Pongal holidays.

When Master would be released on January 13, Easwaran will hit the screens on January 14 and the back to back release of the movie of the top stars would stir typical festive clash of the movies as the ardent fans of both the stars are eagerly waiting to go to theaters after a long time. With fans relish the release and when the theaters are hoping to have a potential revival, actor Simbu has placed a request to the fans and he encouraged them to watch the movies in the theaters.

While requesting his fans to watch Vijay starred 'Master', Simbu has requested Vijay fans to watch his movie 'Easwaran' in the theaters. In his statement, he said, "My film 'Easwaran' is slated to hit the screens for the Pongal festival. Easwaran was wrapped up at breakneck speed. With Master and Easwaran hitting the screens for the Pongal festival, it will reopen the doors and prosperity in the Tamil film industry. Silambarasan said, "He (Vijay) would have easily opted in for an OTT release but waited as he grew up because of fans who thronged the theaters".

Silambarasan further stated, "We grew up because of theaters and our fans enjoyed watching us on screen. I request my fans to watch 'Master' in theater and also I invite Vijay anna fans to watch Easwaran in theaters". He further said that the two movies would bring prosperity to the producers, distributors, and theater owners. Simbu's statement has come hours after the Tamil Nadu government has permitted 100% occupancy in theaters during Pongal.

On Monday, the Tamil Nadu government has passed the order of permitting 100% seating capacity. In its order, the government said, "Based on the decrease in the COVID-19 cases day by day, the Theater Owners' Association have represented to Government to increase the seating capacity of Cinemas/theaters/multiplexes". "Now, therefore the Government hereby permit to increase the seating capacity of cinemas/theaters/multiplexes from existing 50% to 100% by following the Standard Operating Procedure issued already." the government said.

Further, in order to create awareness among the spectators, the precautionary measures for COVID-19 shall also be screened during the show time", the government has added in its order. Along with the Theater Owners' Association, Vijay and Simbu had also demanded the government to permit 100% seating capacity. Following the demand, the government has on Monday passed the order of letting the theaters go with their fullest seating capacity. Following the government's order, Silambarasan took to Twitter and thanked Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami for paying heed to their demand and allowing the 100% seating capacity.
