"Miss you all"... Police find the disheartening farewell letter from Vijay Antony's daughter

The demise of Vijay Antony, the music composer, and actor's daughter put the Tamil industry in shock and grief. The 16-year-old daughter Meera reportedly took her own life.as she had been suffering from depression for a year and hanged herself at her home in Chennai early morning hours of Tuesday.

Meera’s body was taken to Omanturar Hospital for post-mortem examination and then kept at their residence on TTK Road for the funeral. Many celebrities and fans have paid their respects to Meera and expressed their condolences to Vijay Antony and his family. The funeral procession of Vijay Antony's daughter Meera has begun. A special requiem mass will be held at the church in Nungambakkam at 9 am.

According to the reports, the police during further investigation  found a letter in her room that conveyed her love and longing for her parents and friends. The letter was composed entirely in English and consisted of only ten lines. It read, “I love you all. Miss you all.” The police are examining whether the letter was a result of stress or a deliberate act of suicide.

Vijay Antony is known for his versatile and melodious music that has touched the hearts of millions of people. He has composed songs for many Tamil films.  He married Fathima Antony and had two daughters named Meera and Laara. Meera was a bright and cheerful girl, as per reports by the school staff.  Reports say that she was undergoing treatment for depression for the past year and had been receiving counselling sessions. 

The suicide of Meera has shocked the film industry and saddened everyone who knew her. Many celebrities have taken to social media to share their memories of Meera and pray for her soul.  Kamal Haasan mourning for the loss, wrote, “The news of the death of brother @vijayantony daughter is shocking. My deepest condolences to the bereaved family and friends of Meera."

The suicide of Meera has raised awareness about the issue of mental health among young people. Many experts have urged parents, teachers, friends and society to be more supportive and understanding towards those who are struggling with depression or anxiety.
