MK Stalin's hospitalization: A look at the official statement issued by the hospital!

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has on Thursday - July 14 admitted to a private hospital in Chennai, two days after testing positive for the Covid pandemic. The development has swiftly drawn major attention from across the state, which has been embracing a sharp surge in the Covid cases due to which the MK Stalin government has reinforced the mask mandate and several guidelines. 

According to reports, MK Stalin has been admitted to Kauvery Hospital in Chennai for investigation and observation for Covid-related symptoms. Moments after being admitted, the hospital issued an official statement concerning the Chief Minister's health condition and the statement has been going viral, suggesting that there are no complications and that MK Stalin has been admitted for investigations. 

In an official statement signed by Dr Aravindan Selvaraj, who is the Executive Director, the hospital said, "Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru MK Stalin has been admitted at Kauvery Hospital, Alwarpet, Chennai for investigations and observation for Covid related symptoms." On Tuesday -July 12, MK Stalin said that he has tested positive for the Covid-19 pandemic and several leaders, including Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi and ADMK's O Panneerselvam, have extended their wishes to the Chief Minister for a speedy recovery.  

MK Stalin said that he has isolated himself and appealed to the people to wear the mask and receive Covid vaccines. Taking to social media, the Chief Minister wrote, "I have a fatigue today. After testing, it was confirmed that I have contracted Covid-19 and I have isolated. Let all of us be safe by wearing masks and taking the vaccine doses." 

He has tested positive at a high time when Tamil Nadu has been witnessing a huge rise in daily Covid cases, triggering the possibilities of yet another wave. In the wake of surging cases, the Tamil Nadu government has reinforced the mask mandate and imposed a guideline of levying fine on the people who didn't wear the mask in public places. 

Notably, MK Stalin has received the Covid vaccine doses and he has been staunchly campaigning to curb the pandemic. It is pertinent to note that his administration has been rolling out vaccination camps across the state. Last month, MK Stalin suffered from a mild fever due to which he took a rest at his residence. He had written an open letter to the DMK workers in which he said that he is doing fine and no one has to worry about his health condition.
