In a recent incident, actor Mansoor Ali Khan's derogatory remarks about actress Trisha Krishna have sparked outrage, leading the National Commission for Women (NCW) to take suo motu cognizance of the matter. The NCW has directed the police to invoke IPC Section 509 B and other relevant laws, expressing deep concern over Khan's comments that were deemed as derogatory towards Trisha Krishna.

Taking to social media, the NCW tweeted its stance, stating, "The National Commission for Women is deeply concerned about the derogatory remarks made by actor Mansoor Ali Khan towards actress Trisha Krishna. We're taking suo motu in this matter, directing the DGP to invoke IPC Section 509 B and other relevant laws. Such remarks normalize violence against women and must be condemned."

Actress Radikaa expressed her approval of the NCW's swift response, saying, "I am so pleased to see @NCWIndia taking note of derogatory remarks made on @trishtrashers by a person from the same profession, which was downright appalling. Lessons need to be learned, and I think it’s high time we don’t shirk away from this sort of rubbish."

Actress-turned-politician Khushbu, also a member of the NCW, asserted her commitment to addressing the issue, stating, "As a member of NCW, I have already taken up the issue of Mansoor Ali Khan with my senior and will be taking action on it. Nobody can get away with such a filthy mind. I stand with @trishtrashers and my other colleagues where this man speaks in such a sexist disgusting mindset about them, including me."

The controversy stems from Khan's recent comments during a press interaction where he claimed not to have shared screen space with Trisha in the movie 'Leo' and made sexist remarks against her. Trisha, in response, released a strong statement on social media condemning Khan's comments as vile, disgusting, sexist, disrespectful, misogynistic, repulsive, and in bad taste.

She expressed her gratitude for never having shared screen space with someone making such remarks and asserted her commitment to ensuring it never happens in her film career. On Sunday, Mansoor Ali Khan asserted that his comments had been misrepresented and emphasized that he has always maintained respect for his female co-stars.
