From Narendra Modi to Kamal Haasan: MK Stalin is in rain of wishes as he celebrates his 70th birthday!

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has been showered with the rain of wishes from across and beyond the borders as he is celebrating his 70th birthday on Wednesday - March 1. The DMK has been unfolding several statewide events to mark the occasion while the national leaders and celebrities are queued up to wish MK Stalin as he steps into the club of septuagenarians. 

In the midst of receiving greetings from a sea of cadres at the DMK headquarters, Arivalayam, Chennai, MK Stalin has also received a similar trend of greetings from prominent people. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was among the first-in-line leaders to extend his birthday wishes to MK Stalin. Putting out his wish on social media, Modi wished Stalin a long and healthy life. 

Taking to Twitter, Narendra Modi wrote, "Birthday greetings to Tamil Nadu CM Thiru MK Stalin Ji. May he be blessed with a long and healthy life."  Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi took to Twitter and wrote, "Wishing Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Thiru MK Stalin good health and a long life on his 70th birthday." Tamil Nadu BJP President Annamalai tweeted, "I wish a very happy birthday to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin. I pray to the almighty to continue his work with long life and many more years in public life." 

Senior Congress leader and the party's former president Rahul Gandhi took to Twitter and wrote, "Happy birthday to my dear brother, Thiru MK Stalin. Wishing you much happiness and good health." Actor-turned-politician Kamal Haasan, who is exhibiting an apparent proximity with the DMK in recent days, had drawn attention by stating Stalin as a leader who is busting out the dreams of those who wish to suppress and rule Tamil Nadu. 

Kamal Haasan wrote, "I wish a long life to my dear friend, thalapathy Thiru MK Stalin, who is the pioneer among the Chief Ministers and who is busting out the dreams of those who wish to suppress and rule Tamil Nadu, who is the DMK President, on his birthday." Superstar Rajinikanth has also extended his wish to MK Stalin by releasing a video. 

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan bestowed a special wish on MK Stalin by stating that he has won hearts across the country. Taking to Twitter, Vijayan wrote, "Warmest birthday wishes to dear Comrade @mkstalin. Your efforts to strengthen Kerala - Tamilnadu bonds are deeply appreciated. Standing in defence of federalism, secularism and our mother tongues, you've won hearts across the country. Wishing you happiness, health and success!" 

MK Stalin was stormed by the cadres across the state who had gathered to meet and greet him on his birthday. Accompanied by senior ministers, MK Stalin received the greetings from the party cadres at Arivalayam for over three hours. He has also paid floral tribute to his father and former Chief Minister M Karunanidhi as well as to former Chief Minister and DMK's founder CN Annadurai at their memorials in Chennai.
