Nayanthara as Kumudha! Director Sashikanth drops the BTS pictures from his next, The Test!

The Lady Superstar of Tamil cinema, Nayanthara, has completed her shooting for the upcoming sports drama ‘Test’, directed by Sashikanth. The film also stars Madhavan and Siddharth, who are teaming up for the first time with Nayanthara.

The director took to X to share some behind-the-scenes pictures of Nayanthara, who plays Kumudha, one of the three leads in the film. He praised her for giving her best and bringing the character to life. He wrote, "#TEST …. And that’s a wrap for Kumudha! Thankyou #Nayan for giving it everything and bringing her to life. It has been an about pleasure seeing her through you. Can’t wait to share this, to the rest of the world."

Nayanthara also posted a heartfelt message on Instagram, thanking the director, her co-stars and the crew for the wonderful experience. She said, "Kumudha  Thank you for coming into my life when I needed you the most !! Am gonna miss being you !! @sash041075 Thank u for Kumudha @actormaddy Thank u for being kumudha’s biggest strength  @worldofsiddharth Thank u for being the inspiration  Can’t wait for all of u to see our labour of love -TEST".

‘Test’ is a film that explores the lives of three people who are connected by sports. The film is expected to have a lot of thrilling and emotional moments, as well as some stunning action sequences. The film is currently in production and the release date is yet to be announced.

The film marks the first collaboration of Madhavan, Nayanthara and Siddharth, who are among the most versatile and popular actors in Indian cinema. Madhavan, who made his directorial debut with ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’, is also working on a biopic of G.D. Naidu, a legendary inventor and industrialist.

Nayanthara, who is fondly called as ‘Lady Superstar’, was last seen in Annapoorani, which was her 75th film. She will also be seen in her husband and director Vignesh Shivan’s next film ‘LIC’, featuring her in a pivotal key role.
