The upcoming Connect film's novelty and intrigue are stemming from the fact that it was going to be released in theaters without an intermission but with its 95-minute runtime, the spine-tingling teaser, and the midnight dropping of the trailer. As promised, the trailer was released at 12 a.m. on Friday, and its story of lockdown time unnerves to the core.

Nayanthara's reteaming with director Ashwin Saravanan marks the duo's second project together. They had previously collaborated on the horror film Maya, and Ashwin is also famous for helming 'Game Over' starring Tapsee Pannu.  Taking to Twitter, Rowdy Pictures banner revealed the much-awaited trailer on Friday at 12 am, captioning, "Turn up the Volume & Turn off the Lights. The Devil is here." Here is the much-awaited #ConnectTrailer Releasing Worldwide on 22.12.2022".

The trailer's first few minutes fixate on the genuine love shared by what appear to be Nayanthara and Vinay as a married couple and their teenage daughter, before pulling to a horrific sphere that covers their family during a time of lockdown. According to the preview, Anupam Kher plays an exorcist who helps the Nayanthara family cast the devil out of their home. An intense shot of the possessed daughter is shown at the end of the trailer with the words, "The devil doesn't leaves quietly."

Prithvi Chandrasekhar composed this film's musical score. Manikandan Krishnamachari directed the cinematography which was produced by Rowdy Pictures of Vignesh Shivan and Nayanthara, along with UV Creations. The thrilling horror drama also features Bollywood top icon Anupam Kher, veteran actor Sathyaraj, Vinay, and Haniya Nafisa in crucial roles. The film is slated to hit theatres on December 22, 2022.
